A silicon carbide sheet constructed on an A Weight, light paper backing. product is open-coat and features an anti-load stearate coating.The 3M silicon carbide paper sheet 426U is a good general purpose sand paper constructed of silicon carbide, a hard and sharp material that is ideal for non-ferrous materials. Despite not lasting as long as aluminum oxide or ceramic aluminum oxide, silicon carbide cuts faster under light pressure. This product also features an A Weight, light paper backing that is competitvely priced comparable cloth-backed abrasives. It is open-coat and features a load resistant coating to help reduce loading and provide a smooth finish. Sheets are best used for finishing applications.
